There are 4 companies that are present in the trillion dollar club. The elite of elite, Apple, Microsoft, Amazon and Alphabet (the parent company of Google).

The companies in this exclusive group have three main features in common:

  • their market caps have reached $1 trillion,
  • they are all based in the U.S.,
  • they are all part of the technology sector. 

Since 10th of June, Apple has now become the first American company to hit  $1.5 trillion, but Microsoft is close behind with a market cap of $1.4 trillion. Amazon is valued at $1.32 trillion, while Alphabet is the last of the big four, sitting at $1 trillion.

Across the board, Apple has the highest market cap, revenue, profit, and profit per employee. Amazonโ€™s profit per employee sits at only $15,557 due to its large, international workforce, but it has the most expensive stock price of the group, at $1,864.72 per share as of January 21, 2020.
