Its market cap is currently $1.7 trillion, meaning Amazon is currently the most valuable retailer in the world. The company is expected to account for 4.6% of total U.S. retail sales by the end of 2020. Amazon’s online sales account for a significant amount of the companyโs overall revenue mix. From June 2019 to 2020, product sales from Amazonโs website generated $163 billion, which is more than the companyโs other business units combined.
Amazon Web Services (AWS) are still theย most profitableย segments of the company, more than half of Amazonโs operating income came from AWS.
