Uber is at the top of the list with having to close 45 office and lay off 6,700 employees. Airbnb also took a heavy hit as room bookings dropped by over 40% and laid off 25% of its workforce.
Looking at the transportation industry, Lyft and bird also made 17% and 30% reduction in the workforce. In the travel segment, Tripadvisor laid off one quarter of its workforce.
